Putting viewers at the heart of the action, this BAFTA winning series of live “state broadcasts” gave Danny’s newly recruited citizens the chance to help him shape the nation.

Whether they were voting on a name for the country, establishing their own home as an official embassy, or trading in Danny’s new currency – thousands of people have been inspired to take Danny’s dream and make it their own.

While the initial series finished in September 2005, life in Lovely continues with the BBC commissioning a further six instalments of Citizen TV exclusively for the web.
